How the Reencle Gravity works

On first use you add the included compost starter and water. Within about 18 to 24 hours the ReencleMicrobe microbes are active and you can start adding food scraps. From then on the Gravity mixes, aerates and keeps the temperature right, so the microbes break down your waste continuously. Because the microbes multiply by themselves, you normally do not need refills. You only replace the carbon filter every 9 to 12 months.

What can and cannot go in?

Suitable: fruit and vegetable scraps, cooked leftovers, bread, pasta, rice, meat, fish, dairy, eggshells and coffee grounds.

Not suitable: large bones, hard shells and large pits (such as avocado or peach), plastic, glass, metal, packaging and other non-food items. Chop citrus peel into smaller pieces.
